“I find television very educating. Every time somebody turns on the set, I go into the other room and read a book” – Groucho Marx
Throughout lent, we are told to abstain from those things that we find tempting, and to spend time with the Lord instead. I encourage all of the St. Bernadette Bobcats to follow Groucho Marx’s witty advice, and instead of turning on the television, iPad, tablet or computer, to open a book for some quiet reflection time. To this end, the library will be featuring books this month that have a touch of something heavenly in them.
The beginning of March is the culmination of the Battle of the Books challenge. St. Bernadette teams will be competing in zone tournaments on March 3 and March 5, and the city tournament on March 10.
